وَعَرَضْنَا جَهَنَّمَ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ عَرْضًا
English: We shall show Hell to the disbelievers,
Bengali: সেদিন আমি কাফেরদের কাছে জাহান্নামকে প্রত্যক্ষ ভাবে উপস্থিত করব।
Meaning & Reflection
'And We will present Hell that Day to the disbelievers, on display.' al-Saadi and Ibn Kathir note the stark exposure — 'ardan', laid out openly before those who denied: the reality they dismissed as unreal is shown to them plainly, no longer deniable. Ask yourself: everything a person spent a life denying is, on that Day, simply *displayed* — set before the eyes, undeniable at last. The whole strategy of not-believing, of treating warnings as fiction, ends the instant the thing is put on show. It presses me on what I keep 'undisplayed' in my own mind — the truths I keep filed as unreal precisely so I don't have to act on them. The Day of display is coming for all of them. Better to look squarely now, while looking can still change my course, at what I've been refusing to see.
