سُورَةُ البَقَرَةِ · Medinan · Verse 109 of 286

وَدَّ كَثِيرٌۭ مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ إِيمَٰنِكُمْ كُفَّارًا حَسَدًۭا مِّنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِهِم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ فَٱعْفُوا۟ وَٱصْفَحُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِىَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ

English: Even after the truth has become clear to them, many of the People of the Book wish they could turn you back to disbelief after you have believed, out of their selfish envy. Forgive and forbear until God gives his command: He has power over all things.

Bengali: আহলে কিতাবদের অনেকেই প্রতিহিংসাবশতঃ চায় যে, মুসলমান হওয়ার পর তোমাদেরকে কোন রকমে কাফের বানিয়ে দেয়। তাদের কাছে সত্য প্রকাশিত হওয়ার পর (তারা এটা চায়)। যাক তোমরা আল্লাহর নির্দেশ আসা পর্যন্ত তাদের ক্ষমা কর এবং উপেক্ষা কর। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপর ক্ষমতাবান।
