إِلَّا رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنَّا وَمَتَٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ
English: Only by Our mercy could they be reprieved to enjoy life for a while.

Meaning & Reflection
'...except as a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a time.' al-Saadi and Ibn Ashur note how precisely the verse labels our safe passage: it is 'a mercy, and enjoyment for a while' — not permanent, not owed, and explicitly time-bound ('ila hin', until a term). The reprieve has an expiry stamped on it. Ask yourself: I want my comforts to be permanent and treat their continuation as the baseline. This verse gently renames every safe day as a borrowed mercy with a deadline. Would I hold my health, my security, my loved ones differently if I fully accepted the two words attached to them here — 'mercy' and 'for a time'?
