فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
English: Which, then, of your Lord’s blessings do you both deny?
Bengali: অতএব, তোমরা উভয়ে তোমাদের পালনকর্তার কোন কোন অবদানকে অস্বীকার করবে?

'So which of the favours of your Lord will you two deny?' Even amid the terror of the sky splitting, al-Saadi notes, the refrain returns — because the certainty of that Day, made vivid so I cannot dismiss it, is itself a mercy that can still move me while there is time. Ask yourself: I would rather not picture the end of the world; it disturbs my comfortable present. But being shown it clearly, so that it is real to me *now*, is a kindness — it lets the future reshape my choices before the future arrives. Which favour will I deny, including this jolting mercy of being made to see? The refrain will not let even the most fearsome scene pass without asking me to receive it as a gift meant for my good.
