فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
English: Which, then, of your Lord’s blessings do you both deny?

Meaning & Reflection
'So which of the favours of your Lord will you two deny?' Resting on the promise of the unspoiled, al-Saadi notes the refrain honours the gift of freshness and new beginnings itself. Ask yourself: the mercy of the *new* — a clean slate, a fresh start, an unblemished joy — is something I crave here and only ever partly get. Which of these will I deny by cynicism, by assuming everything must be tarnished? The refrain keeps holding open the promise that with Him there is genuine renewal, an unworn good. And it hints that even in this life, His forgiveness offers a version of that freshness now — a slate wiped clean whenever I turn back.
