Surah Al-Waaqia 56:27 — Meaning, Translation & Reflection
سُورَةُ الوَاقِعَةِ · Meccan · Verse 27 of 96
وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ
English: Those on the Right, what people they are!
Bengali: যারা ডান দিকে থাকবে, তারা কত ভাগ্যবান।
Meaning & Reflection
'And the companions of the right — what are the companions of the right!' al-Saadi and Ibn Ashur note the Surah now turns from the elite 'foremost' to the vast class of ordinary saved believers, and marvels at their state too — the right-hand people, the great multitude of the redeemed. Ask yourself: after the dizzying heights of the 'brought-near', there is deep mercy in this turn to the *ordinary* saved — those who were not spiritual giants but were faithful enough to end up on the right. Not everyone reaches the front rank, but a huge, celebrated company simply makes it to the good side. That is genuine hope for someone like me: the goal is not only the unreachable summit, but to be counted, gratefully, among the people of the right hand.
Grounded in classical tafsir: al-Saadi, Ibn Ashur, al-Biqa'i.

- Personal Experience. Ask not just what this means, but what it means TO me and FOR me, right now in my life.
- Connections. How does this verse connect to other verses, to the Sunnah, or to themes across the Quran?
- General Lessons. What timeless lesson or action point can I carry away and live by?
