وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

English: You have learned how you were first created: will you not reflect?

Bengali: তোমরা অবগত হয়েছ প্রথম সৃষ্টি সম্পর্কে, তবে তোমরা অনুধাবন কর না কেন?

'And you have already known the first creation — so will you not then remember?' Ibn Ashur and al-Saadi note the clinching logic: you have *lived* the proof — you already exist, brought about from nothing — so the reminder is simply to *remember* what you plainly are and reason from it. Ask yourself: the antidote the verse prescribes to my doubt is not new information but *memory* — 'tadhakkur', recalling what I already know. I possess the evidence of the first creation in my own existence, yet I forget to reason from it. So much of my faithlessness is not ignorance but forgetfulness — failing to connect what I already know to how I live. What truth do I already hold, plainly, that I have simply stopped *remembering* long enough to let it change me?
