وَإِنَّا لَجَٰعِلُونَ مَا عَلَيْهَا صَعِيدًۭا جُرُزًا
English: but We shall reduce all this to barren dust.

Meaning & Reflection
'And indeed, We will make what is on it barren dust.' Ibn Ashur and al-Saadi note the expiry announced right after the adornment — 'sa'idan juruza', bare, lifeless ground: everything alluring about the earth will one day be stripped to dust. The test has a known end. Ask yourself: the verse deliberately pairs the world's glitter (v7) with its guaranteed reduction to barren dust (v8), so I never see one without the other. It is not saying the world is worthless — it is saying it is *temporary scenery for an exam*, due to be cleared. Holding both together — this is beautiful, and this will be dust — is exactly the balance I lose: I either despise the world or worship it. Can I enjoy its beauty as a test-hall I'm passing through, without forgetting it is scheduled for demolition?
