إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَخَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍۢ وَأَجْرٍۢ كَرِيمٍ

English: You can warn only those who will follow the Quran and hold the Merciful One in awe, though they cannot see Him: give such people the glad news of forgiveness and a noble reward.

Bengali: আপনি কেবল তাদেরকেই সতর্ক করতে পারেন, যারা উপদেশ অনুসরণ করে এবং দয়াময় আল্লাহকে না দেখে ভয় করে। অতএব আপনি তাদেরকে সুসংবাদ দিয়ে দিন ক্ষমা ও সম্মানজনক পুরস্কারের।

'You can only warn one who follows the Reminder and fears the Most Merciful unseen.' al-Biqa'i and al-Saadi note the two marks of a heart the warning actually reaches: it *follows* the reminder (an honest intent toward truth) and it fears ar-Rahman 'bil-ghayb' — where no one is watching. Guidance meets readiness; the same word bounces off the sealed heart and sinks into the willing one. Ask yourself: when a reminder comes to me — a verse, a rebuke, a nudge of conscience — which heart am I bringing to it: one already looking for the truth, or one bracing to defend itself? The verse suggests the reminder's power depends less on the speaker than on the readiness of the one listening.
