سُورَةُ يسٓ · Meccan · Verse 83 of 83
فَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ
English: So glory be to Him in whose Hand lies control over all things. It is to Him that you will all be brought back.’
Bengali: অতএব পবিত্র তিনি, যাঁর হাতে সবকিছুর রাজত্ব এবং তাঁরই দিকে তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে।
Meaning & Reflection
'So glory to the One in whose hand is the dominion of all things, and to Him you will be returned.' Ibn Ashur and al-Biqa'i note the Surah called 'the Heart of the Qur'an' closes exactly where Surah al-Mulk opened — all dominion in His hand — and it ends on the single word that everything ends on: *return*. The whole journey of the Surah lands here: He owns all, and to Him we go back. Ask yourself: everything I chase, defend, and fear is enclosed in a dominion already held in His hand — and my own path, however winding, has one destination: back to Him. If the last word of 'the heart of the Qur'an' is 'return', then the truest question about any day of my life is simple — is this bringing me closer to the One I am, in the end, returning to?
