فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
English: Which, then, of your Lord’s blessings do you both deny?
Bengali: অতএব, তোমরা উভয়ে তোমাদের পালনকর্তার কোন কোন অবদানকে অস্বীকার করবে?
Meaning & Reflection
'So which of the favours of your Lord will you two deny?' Strikingly, the refrain follows the reminder of death and the eternal Face — for al-Saadi notes that even *this* is a mercy: to be told plainly that all else perishes and He remains is itself one of His greatest kindnesses, a warning that can still redirect a life. Ask yourself: I usually file mortality under 'bad news'. This verse files it under *favours* — because knowing the truth about permanence, while I still have time to act on it, is a gift, not a curse. Which of His favours will I deny — including the mercy of this very warning? Being shown where the one lasting thing is, before it is too late to reach for it, is itself something to be grateful for.
