فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
English: Which, then, of your Lord’s blessings do you both deny?
Bengali: অতএব, তোমরা উভয়ে তোমাদের পালনকর্তার কোন কোন অবদানকে অস্বীকার করবে?
Meaning & Reflection
'So which of the favours of your Lord will you two deny?' The refrain now rests on the promise of the Gardens themselves — and al-Saadi notes that the offer of Paradise, held out to those who revere Him, is among the very greatest of favours. Ask yourself: I can be strangely ungrateful even for hope — treating the promise of an eternal home as a distant abstraction rather than a staggering kindness extended to me now. Which of His favours will I deny, including the mercy of being *promised* so much for so little? The refrain asks me to receive not only the gifts I already hold, but the gift of what I am being offered — and to let that promise actually pull on how I live.
