'So which of the favours of your Lord will you two deny?' Resting on the named fruits, al-Saadi notes the refrain keeps drawing the line from the delights of the Garden back to the delights of *now*, all as favours from one Hand. Ask yourself: the dates and pomegranates of Paradise and the ones in my kitchen come from the same Giver — the earthly a sample of the eternal. Which will I deny by tasting the sample and forgetting the Source? The refrain trains a single habit across both worlds: to receive every sweetness, here or hereafter, with a lifted heart that says 'from You' — so that gratitude becomes the natural reflex of eating, drinking, living.
