وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ

'And burning in Hellfire.' al-Saadi and Ibn Ashur note the final word on the deniers' end — 'tasliyatu jahim', being made to enter and endure the blazing Fire, the last and heaviest consequence. Ask yourself: the Surah does not soften its ending; it names the full stakes plainly. It would be a lesser mercy to hide this from me. The very starkness is a kindness — a clear, unflinching warning delivered while I still stand on the safe side of the throat, with time to change direction. It refuses to let me drift toward this outcome half-asleep, comforted by vague hopes that 'it will all be fine'. Faced with the real weight of what is possible, do I take the warning as the mercy it is — a chance, given now, to make sure this is not the welcome I am walking toward?
