هُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ ذَلُولًۭا فَٱمْشُوا۟ فِى مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُوا۟ مِن رِّزْقِهِۦ ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ ٱلنُّشُورُ
English: It is He who has made the earth manageable for you––travel its regions; eat His provision- and to Him you will be resurrected.
Bengali: তিনি তোমাদের জন্যে পৃথিবীকে সুগম করেছেন, অতএব, তোমরা তার কাঁধে বিচরণ কর এবং তাঁর দেয়া রিযিক আহার কর। তাঁরই কাছে পুনরুজ্জীবন হবে।
Meaning & Reflection
'He made the earth tamed for you, so walk its shoulders and eat of His provision — and to Him is the resurrection.' Ibn Ashur and al-Biqa'i note 'dhalul' pictures the earth as a docile mount, saddle-broken for you; even its 'shoulders' (manakib) — the high, rough parts — are made walkable. Then the verse pivots hard: after all this ease, 'to Him is the resurrection.' The tamed earth is a mount for a journey, not a home to settle in. Ask yourself: I move across a planet quietly bent to serve me — and mistake the smoothness for permanence. This verse lets me enjoy the ride and, in the same breath, reminds me where it ends. Am I travelling on this earth, or trying to move in for good?
